• As an accomplished UNIX/Linux systems administrator was responsible for Enterprise Backup Tape Management System, SANs, Blackborad Learn, Operational Data Store, WebFOCUS Reporting & Oracle database administration.

• Was responsible for the performance and realiability of my assigned applications to ensure a reliable system; analyzed implications of proposed changes in the infrastructure and application and proposed remedies and schedules as necessary, supported production, quality assurance and development instance of the full system.

• ​Major duties included system performance monitoring, installation of system software and third party application packages, application upgrades, system security patches, database backup and recovery strategy.

• Successfully maintained peak performance of all primary Oracle Enterprise databases in a load-balancer (F5) environment by providing advanced tuning metods, performance metrics, customized scripts, and Oracle Enterprise Manager and Grid Computer as Banner and Blackboard DBA.

• Installed virtual desktops/servers using VMware and Hyper-V technologies on Linux OS in datacenter.

 

BI Database and Application Administrator

• Installed and configured Apache Tomcat Java Application Server and Data Adapters.

• Was responsible for maintaining the DB2 UDB V7.2 test/production databases and provided technical support for Oracle 9/10/11 RDBMS, IBI WebFOCUS and MSSQL systems, including Operational Data Store (ODS).

• Provided DBA support for all internal and client based Oracle implementations such as the FAU Meal Plan, SCT fsaATLAS (SEVIS) system and Resource 25 (Event Scheduler), SPOTDE (Online Evaluations), Jewish Music Rescue Project and others.

 

University Webmaster

• Was responsible for supervising staff and providing account maitenance, implementing University-wide Web page changes, database design and programming, creating functional and technical design specifications for development efforts, and coordinating DBA functions.

• Deployed and coded serveral real-time Web casts, on-line voting, FAU Home page and Libraries Home page, online form surveys, and a Web content management application.

• Website evaluator for 285 United States Power Squadron websites.
